You Don't Mess With The Zohan

I don't understand why Adam Sandler bothers with these types of movies. This was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Everyone who watched the Zohan is now dumber, myself included. A comedian with his capabilities should spend more time making a good one instead of taking any role at any time. Roxanne from Principal Takes A Holiday was the lone bright spot to the movie.

Role Models

Yet another Paul Rudd disappointment. He seems have a new movie every month and they are all disasters. This one was made even worse thanks to the likes of Sean William Scott and McLovin. The Superbad clown continues to annoy everyone who's not an idiot. I hated him in that and even more so in this. I can not even think of one bright spot in Role Models, so I will leave you with the rating.

Marley And Me

When a movie tries to get laughs out of a dog knocking things over, for the whole movie, you know it's not going to be very good. Owen Wilson's presence in the movie makes it watchable, but other than that, it was garbage. If anything, Marley and Me just angered me because what sane people would ever keep that dog for longer than a couple days. Marley ruined those people's lives for about ten years and they actually kept it. Over the past year, I kept hearing about how sad this movie was and how they were crying at the end, so I knew what was coming. Don't understand how this could have been remotely close to a tear-worthy movie. Keep in mind people, as Will Ferrell would say, it's an f'n dog.

The Rocker

Obviously went in with very low expectations with this one. The Office cast, while great in the show, fails to succeed in the movie business. Rainn Wilson was no Dwight in the Rocker, but wasn't as bad as I though he would be. The rest of the cast was filled with all-stars, Bradley Cooper, Will Arnett, and Jeff Garlin to name a few, which helped the movie go along. The no name-teenage band was decent also except for the fat one who was worthless. Overall, The Rocker wasn't too bad, but wasn't too great.

I Am Legend

Will Smith has put out some good ones recently with Pursuit of Happyness, Hancock, and Seven Pounds. He continues his success with I Am Legend. I was intrigued throughout the whole movie. I loved every scene where Smith was walking through New York City, through all the landmarks, and it was completely empty. The creepy mutated people kept me on the edge of my seat at times, but not enough to hinder the film. Bob Marley music playing throughout was also a nice touch. The rating could have even been higher, but the ending did not do it for me. I do not know why, but it was a little disappointing.

Pineapple Express

I don't know how many movies Seth Rogen has left in him before I'm sick of him. Seems that I like him less and less as time goes on. He peaked in You, Me, and Dupree as a supporting actor. But I enjoyed the rest of this cast in this one, especially Danny McBride and James Franco. Gary Cole is always a great addition to any movie as well. The movie was good, but did have some flaws. There was no need for the storyline of Rogen dating the high school girl, which was not funny or believable. I was leaning towards a 5.5 rating until the ending breakfast scene boosted it a bit. Great way to end the movie.

Made Of Honor

Patrick Dempsey was an interesting choice for this movie. With his personality and prior roles, he can not pull of the hot-shot bachelor who dates a different girl every night. It seemed a bit awkward for me throughout the movie. Looking past that, it was decent for a chick flick. Kadeem Hardison made an appearance, which shocked me since I haven't seen him since The 6th Man. The Scottish boyfriend really hindered the movie also with his obnoxiousness. It was hard to believe that Monaghan would ever consider marrying him. Too many ups and downs for me.
