NFL Predictions: NFC West

1st. Cardinals 9-7

Luckily, Arizona is in the NFC West, so 9 wins will get the division title once again. The offense should be as good as last season if Kurt Warner can stay healthy. They may be even better if rookie Chris Wells can form into a starting running back. The defense will be suspect as always and teams will exploit it.

2nd. Seahawks 7-9

Seattle will be in the mix with the Cardinals for the title all year. But do not see them winning the big ones down the stretch in order to pull it off. They will definitely be better than last year with many injured players coming back. Hasselbeck has some more weapons to work with now that TJ Houshmanzadeh is in town. Passing game will have to be effective because they won't have much success running the ball.

3rd. 49ers 6-10

Some believe the 49ers are due for a breakout season, but I do not see it. Frank Gore will not be able to carry that offense by himself. Shaun Hill, or whoever starts the majority of games, will struggle all season. The defense should be solid, but not great enough to get any more than 6 wins.

4th. Rams 5-11

Five wins is a major upgrade from last season's output. Bulger should be decent enough, but doesn't have the targets he used to in St. Louis. The one bright spot, Steven Jackson, will have his biggest season to date. For once, he will stay healthy all year and put up huge numbers.
