NFL Predictions: AFC West

1st. Raiders 9-7

In one of the weakest divisions in the NFL, the Raiders will shock the league and come out on top with just a 9-7 record. If you remember, the Chargers won it at only 8-8 last year. Oakland was 5-11 a year ago, but blew 3 or 4 that they could easily have won. They also finished the season with wins over over .500 teams Houston and Tampa. With a defense that improves each year, and their great running game led by McFadden and Bush, 9 wins is definitely reachable. As long as Russell can stay consistent all year, the Raiders will finally be out of the gutter.

2nd. Chargers 9-7

Another disappointing season in San Diego, a team with Super Bowl hopes. Again they will start of slow, but will not be able to make it up at the end, as they lose the tiebreaker to the Raiders. Rivers will not repeat the success he had last year and will struggle to be a top 10 QB. Tomlinson is officially a has-been and Sproles will not be able to fill the void.

3rd. Chiefs 4-12

Kansas City thought they solved their quarterback issues by signing Matt Cassel, but that will only make things worse this year. Cassel will learn how what its like being in the NFL when not playing in the Patriots' system. Losing their best receiving target in Gonzalez did not help either. The only bright side is that Denver is in their division which will give them a golden chance for wins.

4th. Broncos 3-13

This year, Denver will realize that letting Jay Cutler go will turn out to be one the biggest mistakes in NFL history. And to make things worse, their top receiver, Brandon Marshall, is demanding a trade and does not look like he'll ever be a Bronco this year. The defense is terrible and now the offense will also be terrible this year with Orton at the helm.
